 Dubai is a great metropolitan city of Arab World. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) consists of seven Emirates’ and Dubai is the most advanced one. It is called the ‘Pearl of the Persian Gulf’. Dubai’s metropolitan area has a total population of 1.6 million. In 1975, the population was 185,200. Today less than 10% of Dubai's resident's are nationality holders. |

Dubai Metro Dubai Metro is a fully automated, a driverless metro ( subway) network in the city of Dubai. There are two lines, The Red Line and The Green Line. The Red Line is working now but the Green Line is under construction, and further lines are planned. These first two lines run underground in the city centre and on elevated viaducts elsewhere. All trains and stations are air conditioned with platform edge doors to make this possible. The first section of the Red Line, covering 10 stations, was ceremonially inaugurated at 9:09:09 PM on September 9, 2009. |
